Could someone upload this pack to another site? zShare, mediafire, filefront maybe ? ....

Can't get this trough DivShare....cuts me off around 50% and speed is slow as hell :S (unusual)

I wanna hear how much i failed! :D :D
Of course, in my defence, i made my track in 4h cuz of the deadline haha :)

Ok gonna comment now!

Ascend - Nice that you made such a minimalistic sound with those....too short tune perhaps?

DLX - pretty intsense track there

DZ - Loving the frenchy padwork with those bongos, and of course, what's a DZ track without a killa bass! :D

Jolly Wailer - Cool to hear you tried to make something reggaeish :P But with those acapellas, i don't think they fit so good...

KRio - Well..i'll only say that i made it in 4h, so that's why it might suck a little :D :D :D

Liquid Rocks - REALLY top notch production - 2:40+ is just pure baddddneessss!!!

Martello Rotativo - big up my estonian brothaa, that piercing bass is heavy!

Paradigmx
- heavy sub, liking how you manipulated those samples given to ya

Relik - imo awesome track! Sounds a lot like garage

BIG UP ALL OF YOU WHO PARTICIPATED!

Tuff call for me... DZ, Relik, Paradigmx tunes are insane but i gotta give my vote for Liquid Rocks cuz of the 2:40 drop

Looking forward for the 3rd competition :)

Thanks for listening at least man!

Yeah far too short, only just leaning how to layer bass lines and how to make dubstep properly really, you'll see BIG improvments on the next one, mark my words! lol

Massive big up to the production bible massive though, I've learned so much since doing that crappy version.. :!:

I'll be looking forward to your next one for sure...

OK finally had a chance to listen to em all

All splendid

Image

i listened to em at the same relative level to give em equal chance. Liquid rocks is incredibly loud, -7.5dB RMS! The relative volume makes a massive difference (foobar can do this, im sure other ways). Its natural to think something louder sounds better, NOT THAT IM IMPLYING ANYTHING WITH THIS STATEMENT.

Ascend - really like the vibe in this one. wicked edits on the beats. mellow and soulful.

DLX - really cool, well produced, but hate that guitar sample. soz ! nothing personal i hate heavy metal samples in all electronic stuff. weird, i actually like metal.

DZ - Well into this, but like was said before, really not feeling that bassline at 2 mins, sorry :(. accordion bit sounds mint.

Jolly Wailer - like the squelchy accord. well put together tune overall. not sure the vox fit brilliantly tho tbh.

krio - bad ! (meaning good !) Love the way the bass distorts itself. sitar gets a bit much imo

liquid rocks - bit over limited imo, little dynamics, touches of distortion. very very well produced just went overboard limiting afterwards imho. Shame, love the tune itself, really varied and creative, used loads of the original samples.

Martello - nice vibes really bouncy tune, got me moving ! enjoyed it a lot.

Paradigm X - well, after not listening to it for a few days, i like this, for 2 days work. too much bass, and im not sure if its very dubstep ? but i quite like as a breaky dub tune. i really enjoyed making it and will probably develop it :) cheers ! Image

Relik - not sure about that first vocal tbh bro. second bits nice, like the dissonant bass ness, or filtered, whatever you did t oit. nice garagey vibe and constantly changing.

Feasible - great vid man, and interesting tune - works well with the vid.

In the end i removed as seemed fit from the playlist... was down to ascend and martello in the end, and in the end it was ...

Martello !

Image

got me banging my head and jiggling the most.

hes not in the list, iim voting for him/her/them now !

big

Big up the pack creator, was a great sample pack. Lots of fun to be had, roll on the next one, hopefully get more than a couple of days in it.

big respect to all the producers, some fat tunes. be proud !

Cheers

edit lol picard actually bangs in time with martello! lol

no support for the local? haha. i spent very little time on my track and just did it for fun in a couple hours. it was the first time i tried remixing a full acapella like that. i liked this sample pack and made another song with it too. actually would have rather submitted that one instead, but was gone during the deadline and i'm still re-working the bass on it. If anyone wants a listen, it's here:
http://www.undergroundunheard.com/relik ... Stylee.mp3

i wasn't too sure about that first verse either, which is exactly the same as the last. it is matched perfectly over the bars, but i think it would sound better speed up a bit, keeping the pitch the same. it's weird though because when it repeats as the last verse i think it sounds better, even though it's exactly the same. i think the initial drop just sounds off time because of the bass. that was the only thing that was bugging me about it and i guess others felt that too.

at least more people did this one. can't wait for the next one. respect to everyone that posted. really enjoyed listening to them all including watching weasel's vid.

^^^^ yo I defo had to timestretch the accapella down from somewhere around 170-176 to 140 so that it was metronomically correct - gotta watch bpm's and count beats/count syllables when remixing vocals!!! (though maybe you did timestretching too??)

:::edit:: oh my bad you used the foreign stylee accapellas??? nevermind then...

i should get on top of my game though so i can participate in the next one.

i was just busting. i don't expect anyone to like any of my tunes. if they do, that's cool...but yeah, just producing for the fun of it.

yeah...i was talking about the sensi remix i submitted to the contest. basically just chopped each verse or part of a verse and then timestretched to fit perfectly over set of bars and then readjusted the pitch back to make their voices more normal.

my problem may have been where i made the chops, but i was zoomed in on that shit. i might take a look at it again later. i was playing with that first/last verse for a bit and was never really happy with it. i originally had it speed up a bit more and thought it sounded better, but didn't think it was kosher since it wasn't fitting over the whole section of bars.
