Anyone know if any dubstep will be available through Juno Digital?

I can only say I truly, truly, truly hope so.

One (1) place where you can have a high-quality, decent-priced offer of dubstep tunes that keeps in pace with the vinyl release (not about two weeks-1 month later). Would that be so difficult?

Yeah, but it's very limited (hotflush is the only one well represented, as far as I know) and if it is available, they're scattered along a few sites (djdownload, karmadownload, nuskoolbreaks, bleep, ...) with different prices, different bitrates.

Above all, I can't be arsed searching five different sites to find one track, not to mention at the best price or at max. bitrate.

All that needs to happen is for labels to get in touch with Juno and make their tracks available.

I'm with you - the thing is they're already out there on mp3, why not give someone the opportunity to pay for a good quality file if they want to instead?

it's not about trying to stop piracy any longer. it's about watermarking and finding the people that leak tunes. if theres anything to be learned from soulseek in the dnb scene, it's that the leakers are the ones to shut down.

I think it would be great.. well kinda.
I feel that having new music available to buy in mp3 format will do quite a bit for creating more of a global scene.
I'm finding it quite difficult to get a lot of current dubstep in my local shop.
We get some, but not a lot. (a bit strange in a city that is frantic over it's dnb I think)
I suppose I can order off some online shops but Canadian customs WILL open my package and end up charging me another %40 on top of what I paid the shop.
I can see how some labels may feel weary about it all but I personally think it would actually do more for revenue in the long run.
No matter how great it sounds compared to an mp3 it has MAJOR pitfalls as a platform to deliver your product.
The obvious being that it really is a strictly "dj" medium. I don't know too many people that spend $15CAN (roughly an hours salary) for two songs simply for listening pleasure.
Anyways.. I guess what I'm getting at is that sure there will be pirates. But by increasing your market to foreign lands as well as the listener (not the participant) could also prove very profitable.

Having said that: Anyone who wants to email me their tunes so I can kain the crap out of them here feel free!
