Moganite - Profester (Deep)

Post by Profester » Sat Mar 22, 2014 1:10 am

Hey so, I've been messing around with massive/ableton for about a week now and this is what came out of it. I'd love any feedback or tips you guys might have, thanks for checking it out. Also, I'm super new to EDM music in general so I'm sure I didn't classify the song correctly, sorry for that Soundcloud

This is not that deep lol.

But yeah, try and have a look at EQ and work on it. Most of your sounds could do with tightening up. Your intro snare lacks top end (be delicate though, that sample will become harsh on the ears quickly). Your drop is too wide. When you make things wide it kills off your bass frequencies, so you have to separate the sounds, and make the bottom mono and the top wide.

Also it's a good idea to drop some sub under your drop, and to (important) vary your melody in your wubs a bit. Even when making the most tearout of dubstep, one note songs don't go down well.

I hope that's enough to get you started down the right path. Good luck! :D
