Re: Mystery Radio Signals
Yeah, you can find some pretty weird shit on the airwaves. I heard some lady preaching and talking about the "REDEEMER".
Re: Mystery Radio Signals
Dude, what kind of license are these preachers preaching under?
Re: Mystery Radio Signals
I really like to find radar too as it can make quite rhythmic patterns. It's fun to put recordings of stuff like that in music too. It's a similar effect to using induction coil pick ups to get sound recordings from running electrical devices.
I've found a couple number stations on there already too. Nothing massively exciting just people reading a list of numbers a few times and then dead air.

Re: Mystery Radio Signals
That one mks referenced was a trip. A chick would come on say some numbers in spanish and then there'd be like a drop - beep boop!
Re: Mystery Radio Signals
Hmm I'm not sure. It's interesting reading about Brother Stair. It says he used to broadcast on over 100 stations in the 90s but it's more like 25 now and that he's funded by donations that pay the $1 million running costs it takes. Says also he went pirate for a while.nowaysj wrote:Dude, what kind of license are these preachers preaching under?
The guys show I heard was really intense actually. He was rambling constantly just on the one subject of being the one true prophet with random bursts of segments of country songs about religion interrupting out of the blue and then cutting off back to him mid rant
Re: Mystery Radio Signals
Reminds me of that Big Black song - what was it? "Seth"?
Re: Mystery Radio Signals
The other day there was constant skykings. Really not a good thing.
Re: Mystery Radio Signals
