Starting To DJ...Any Vinyl Suggestions?

Post by blizzardmusic » Sat Oct 06, 2007 1:32 pm

Right,
so I've just gone to my mates house to get the turntables he gave me for nothing. Fresh needles, mixer, all leads there, 11 p and a peseta in the box. Now I need help on what E.P's to get :(

I'm definitly getting DMZ013 (Coki - Spongebob and The End - thats the only vinyl i know of that has a flip thats good as well. I want some nasty wobble! Any ideas on EP's/LP's to get? Hit me back.

Your in manchester yeh?

Pop down to Eastern Bloc and check the dubstep section...if you dont know much ask at the counter for a selection of new Dubstep.

Normally gives us about 10 records i just go through at the decks.

Pop over to Picadilly Records aswell to see what they are saying after you parted with some money in EB of course.

Picadilly has a tiny selection of Dubstep, its a decent shop for everything else mind, but EB is 100 times better for what you want. Plus they will know more about Dubstep if you want to ask questions

Red eye records:

http://www.redeyerecords.co.uk/asp/prod ... order=DATE

Theres a few pages of releases there to keep you entertained.

Boomkat:

All in alphabetical order so you may need a few spare afternoons to listen to everything but at least you can do it all from the comfort of your home.
