dope.

I wouldn't buy into all of the blah blah about "dark and moody" whatever. I want him to make more of it, and if there is loads of cutting room material from the 2000 days, I don't want him to slag that off because of some limitation in the critical adjectives that people rely on to talk about music. Can we get past the binary of party vs. moody or not?

But hey, its the second album, you have to do an interview or two. There isn't much you can really talk about other than the standard "what is different for the second album" spiel. That's fair. I am buying two copies again, no question, and I hope he does even better the second time around.

Unite was bright sunshine behind closed eyes, so if its an album of that, I'll be happy for the next year.

Watch out for "Stairwell"/"Feral Witchchild" on Hyperdub in February 2008.

kode did an interview with burial recently on the hyperdub blogspot page...
and don't forget about the KMS "cool out" rmx!

The picture on the album cover was posted on Burial's MySpace music player for "Endorphin" when that was there. Haunting tune, haunting pickle.

"Im not some ice cold fretless bass playing psychopath"

Mystery solved, Burial *is* Jaco Pastorius.

Wahey, was hoping for some more burial interviews, he seems a lot less serious in this one, the blackdown one made me think of him as being some perma-sombre kinda guy.

Hahaha i love this quote, but the fretless bass thing is a bit odd. What does he mean by that? His hatred of musicians?

And wow, back to soundforge again, interesting.

Feral Witchchild? Burial has hands down some of the best track titles. Minus "In McDonalds" that is.

Squareusher plays a fretless bass. So i'll start the rumor that Burial wants to fight Squarepusher, its a serious beef.

I reckon you can sing 'Sambuca' over the instrumental to Archangel, which makes this album an instant classic in my book
