i really feel like most public school systems fail horribly at teaching even basic fundamentals of economics (ones that should be self evident anyways tbh)

i remember seeing a facebook post being shared on my wall a lot for a week where it was something along the lines of:

HEY EVERYONE LET'S DO A GASOLINE BOYCOTT ON THIS PARTICULAR DAY

IF NO ONE BUYS GAS ON THAT DAY, GAS STATIONS WILL BE FORCED TO LOWER THEIR PRICES

I'm pretty sure economics is now mandatory. At least it is in Virginia. My grade was the last to not have to. I took it anyway though. Business before that too.

oh yeah its's part of the mandatory curriculum where im at too (although its just a half semester in high school and at a lot of schools at least in californian school districts they end up having a sports coach teach the class to save money), im just saying that theyre beyond terrible at actually getting some of the basic concepts across

yeah i did, mine were 2 semesters but i guess it depends on if the schools run on a semester or trimester schedule, i'd bet 2 trimesters for schools on a trimester schedule though (since the ap exams are in may)
