greetings from the Czech republic folks, I've moved from dnb to dubstep quite a while ago and found this forum very useful indeed. I'm mostly into the hypnotical side of dubstep (I consider the Vex'd remix of Distance - Fallen the ultimate song ever).

Big ups from Denmark. Dubstep is growing bigger and bigger in Copenhagen, with Ohoi! Soundsystem/Kraken Recordings as the only Danish grime/dubstep label yet. I had been listening to breakbeat, drum 'n bass and IDM a long time, when my friend introduced me to dubstep by playing the Digital Mystikz essential mix. I didn't thought I was the religious type of guy until this. Not much later I started going to dubstep/grime/hip hop events (greatest experience ever was DMZ at roskilde festival '07).

I had been producing breakcore, IDM, house and other genres before this. Now I'm all over dubstep. You can check my choons at www.myspace.com/nekkroteukh

PM for 320, I'll send you the package ;)

hello all,

thought i better intro myself quickly, been into detroit techno, new york/chicago house, jungle, bukem style d&b and IDM for ever. i used to dj on friends fm in brighton in the early 90's playing b12 and FSOL techy ambiance. got a couple of deep d&b tracks coming out on Justice's M:JAZZ label in September. DJ SHIVA has been playing a few of my dubsteppy/techy numbers on dubstep.fm and it looks like she may be releasing a couple on SURFACE TENSION RECORDINGS. you can hear these on her last couple of dubstepfm podcasts.

i once appeared in a daily Star TV advert mixing at the 333 club in Shoreditch and i am the only person in the history of Bethnal Green police station to have entered a cell inoccent, yet exit guilty. it is a long story that involves mushrooms, concusion and a half chewed police mattress stuffed down the toilet.......... :?:

What up people? I'm new to dubstep....I currently reside in Hawaii where there is absolutely no dubstep scene (yet at least...). I'm trying to get it crackin' out here for sure though. I'm glad I came across the deep sub-bass sounds of dubstep. I'm a hip-hop head first & foremost to the fullest, but I've also been in the drum & bass scene & nu-skool breaks scene for awhile too (until it got stale). Hope to get to know some of y'all a little better...

What's up folks... the name's Threesixty - 1/2 of The Fix from Ottawa Canada. I've been doing the D&B thing for about 12 years and producing it for about 7. We have releases on labels such as Renegade, Renegade Hardware, Function, L Plates, Vibez, 13 music, Breakin and our own label called Shift. I caught wind of Dubstep when I was touring in London early last year, a friend of ours Luke Envoy told us we had to check out a night called DMZ in Brixton at some club in a church, so we went. The night was pretty much off the charts and we came home telling everyone about it. I'm still busy making D&B but have been getting into Dubstep production when I hang out with my old friend DZ... we cooked up a pair of new bits this weekend so I thought I'd tell you lot who I am. Bless

I'm 47. I've always liked the heavy basslines and I've come from dub via dnb. I got fed up with digital dub, and dubstep has heavier basslines than dnb. End of.
Took a while for the penny to drop. Big up Se7en and DMZ.
