at op - there are worse investments than vinyl. whilst i'm unlikely to ever sell mine it does make me feel better about pouring thousands into it each year knowing there may be some resell value if i go deaf.

u should definitely start collecting its fun and better than buying drugs or women

Next time ppl are fanboying Mala I am showing them this.

It sucks trying to move a massive vinyl collection. I had to rent a storage space to keep them for awhile and then a truck the last time I moved. Here's a pic from my apartment several years ago.

I think if I sold all my records, all my cds, all my studio stuff, music merch, all my video games and all my games consoles I could probably afford a deposit on a small house in a Devon town.

Not happening though. I still want to be able to play megadrive while listening to Van Halen after I've retired

people waaay overestimate what their stuff is worth lol

also note to OP
if you play your records they are worth nothing, they need to be 'mint' or 'unplayed' to have any value

Nope but you will obviously lose value once if the condition of the record is lower.

Ive made something like £200 off the back of two records, neither did I set out to actually make money off, just realised one day they were worth ££. Other than that the hassle of selling something for £20 when you paid £10 is hardly worth the trouble.

Oh yeah and enjoy being broke and forever NEEDING to buy X record because of Y bullshit half made up reason haha

Yeah but I've got Excellent condition copies of prog rock records I've seen sell for like £50 in totally fucked condition.
