I've never understood people's blanket hate for country tbh... seems lazy as fuck.

People just don't like the association of the deep south, rednecks, trailer parks etc I would guess. That's why I specified mainstream, I've never listened to anything beyond the rubbish from the 80s you hear on the radio

Im not immune to stereotyping but no I meant people in general, country has been a target for taking the piss by youts for a long while now
