I actually think they're pretty amazing musicians.
They use a lot of synths and piano in their music and have some interesting grooves.
Not all music is liked because of its appearance from the front.
As a band though, they're pretty dreadful.
Oh, and it was like a quid.

I'd rate them in the top five worst Nu Metal bands I've heard. And that's a genre full of shit bands. Their music is just such a mess and full of awful cliches. Just surprised to see someone disagrees. Me and my mates play a game where we remember the worst or most obscure nu metal bands we can and listen to them when drunk and mushroom head get mentioned all the time

Music doesn't have to be good to have decent samples though innit. I don't think they're THAT bad.

I don't know why I feel compelled to defend Mushroomhead, but they had two albums back-to-back where I like just about every track. I think they did something a bit different.

big ups Legen4ry! I love grabbing these random sampled packs from other people. Just seeing what samples they take from the song compared to what I would take is interesting to me.

seconding Wolf89's observation, well, mostly power electronics to get specific about it, but yeah! Mushroomhead = industrial? seriously?

Yeah man, Mushroom head is big time Nu-metal. I think they were actually around before Slipknot iirc. I dont much care for them, but i do agree that they make good use of synths in there music. Much more so the say Cradle of Filth or some shit, so im defiantly interested to hear what you sampled.
And Nu-Nu metal is very much a thing

Be afraid. Be VERY afraid.
