Yeah instead you could be sat in some warehouse packing records for people you'll never see

Don't see why this would be any more fun than any other warehouse job really.

Everyone seeing this shit on FB about ST Holdings/Surus vastly cutting down the amount of labels they're working with?

I mean, Dispatch is roughly the #4 dnb label at the moment (metalheadz, shogun and critical best them I think). I'd be interested in their criteria for keeping a label on.

St Holdings fuckin' it up big time imo. I can't really see how this could be good news, yet I've saw comments on FB where people say it's a good move :corntard:

Plus it seems they've done it in a real nasty way to those they let down. Looks like they just announced it more or less out of the blue, telling them that in 7 days their deal is over... but the Dispatch store is already down.

That doesn't sound good AT ALL regarding the future of ST Holdings even after scaling down.

At my old local the owner would talk about how St Holdings have been slowly cutting back on the number of labels mainly the smaller ones and less "trendy" music such DNB but never expected them to only work with around 30. I guess a lot of people will be going back to Cargo records/Southern Record Distributors, distribute it themselves or just disappear.
Only good thing i see coming out of this is maybe cheap records for the labels they are axing.

Mandrill - Just Outside of Town
Kode 9 & The Spaceape - Memories of the Future
Boddika & Joy Orbison - Tricky's Team
Kahn & Neek - Backchat / Dubchat
P Jam - NSWL015
Bok Bok - Your Charizmatic Self EP
Lone - Reality Testing

The last two on pre-order, can't wait to hear them in full! The new Lone is sounding lush, gonna be a proper summer record :D
