I keep it in my bathroom because when you turn my bathroom light on it automatically turns the fan on which is annoying, so i just leave a little lamp in there and leave it on 24/7, and it still hasn't run out after almost 2 years. I've only turned it off a few times. I wonder if this is normal...

2 years isnt really that long

also one of the biggest factors that causes a light bulb to deteriorate is the stress from different components heating up at different rates when you switch it on, so the fact that you keep it on is probably helping
