My heartrate has only just got back to normal... Amazed I didn't keel over and that I only managed to break one glass!

One of the best Cup finals I can remember from any competition tbh... must've been entertaining for the neutral. Utter agony for both sets of fans. I reckon I enjoyed a grand total of 3 over 120 minutes.

I'm going to enjoy the highlights SO much.

Shout out to those arsenal fans who started cheering in the city end at 2-2 and got their heads kicked in- fucking idiots lol

Yeah, it's the ones getting their heads kicked in for being happy that are normally the idiots.

You reckon you'd turn down a seat in the wrong end for a Cup Final featuring your team when the allowances are as meagre as this year?

You reckon you'd be able to hold yourself from jumping around if they came back from 2-0 down?

Fucking idiots.

Heh, I appreciate the impassioned defence magma but i'm afraid these guys were asking for it. If it had just been jumping up and down then they would probably have been OK- but there were around 15 of them all stood up and giving it very large in a sea of pissed off hullensians, meaning not only did they run the risk of being beaten up, they all got chucked out and missed the winner. Yeah.. I'm still going to say fucking idiots covers them pretty well.

The City fan's response was pretty moronic i will agree but still, I don't know if you've ever experienced it- being goaded by people in 'your' end is one of the most annoying things ever. Imagine the feeling you get when you see the opposition fans clebrating a goal- then times it by ten thousand Infact the closest i've ever got to having a fight with someone was when they wore a liverpool shirt next to me at the KC.

To me it shows disrespect and a lack of grace which when put through the angry football fan emotional filter equals kick their head in

I guess because football fans have had to be treated like dangerous animals for so many decades now, the social norms have adapted and made it par for the course... the football fan is seen as an unpredictable (or maybe all-too-predictable) animal that should never be socialised with another breed of football animal... this is one of the main reasons I rarely ever go to see live football despite it being my favourite sport, tbh. The last time I went to Wembley I had to endure England fans booing the opposition's national anthem and shouting abuse at foreign fans in the neighbouring stands... I made a decision to keep myself to my armchair from then on. I've enjoyed matches at The Emirates, but "real" football fans tell me that's not a "real" football venue.

Despite it being a very distant second to football in my affections, I *always* enjoy going to see rugby. I've been to see the Premiership final more times than I can remember and I've never seen any trouble despite fans being sat in the same stands and spending the entire 80 minutes intentionally winding each other up. These days I normally go with a group of Leicester fans because my best mate supports them... I'm a life-long Bath fan, so I just about always support "Anyone else than Leicester". It makes the day tbh. You spend 80 minutes being called a tnuc in imaginative ways by everyone around and then they all buy you a beer, win or lose.

The minority of football fans that use fists instead of vocal chords need neutering.

A recurring issue with FA cup finals is ticket distribution and I'd wonder how 15 Arsenal fans got tickets together from the Hull allocation. The FA needs to remember it belongs to the fans of the clubs involved first.

And while it's not unlikely that a group of fans celebrating in with the opposition support are going to get a slap it doesn't mean they deserve it. Yes emotions get high at matches but that doesn't justify non violent actions being met with violence.

Fans that fight at the ground don't know how true hooliganism goes

I remember the first few years that Blues were back in the prem, for the Birmingham derby, the Zulus and the Villa Youth would always meet up near the ground that the game WASN'T at to fight, just sacking off the match altogether :cornlol:

the emirates is so shit though. its a soulless arena with a terrible atmosphere. full of grown men wearing football shirts and idiots waving scarfs around and shouting red army its so embarassing
the way the stands slope aswell means that it just isnt an intimidating place to come to
highbury was never the loudest place when i was younger but it was half the size and pretty much double the atmosphere

the abuse between fans is what makes football so much better than other sports
whats wrong with booing the national anthem and shouting abuse?
adds intensity and passion

#Atmosphere ennit?

Thing with those fans on both sides is, if the line of police between them just stepped aside, they'd all flap it straight away. At least 90% of those people on the pitch are under 16's?

maybe i worded that a bit strongly but its probably more to do with the type people driving down from hertfordshire, buying a programme and sitting down for the whole game taking pictures on their iphones

but i guess thats what happens when you charge a grand for a season ticket

not meant to be a par on you btw
