the thing is i actually feel sorry for this guy. obviously what he did is monstrous and inexcusable but he was clearly mentally ill, and it seems he spent a good chunk of his life completely wound up, depressed and lonely because of this illness. it could have all been prevented if someone noticed and got him some help, although i guess he probably put on a smiling face for his family etc.
