Nice idea with this one but the execution is not quite on point, the sounds need more gelling. Better use of eq would be helpful.

How so? The track was a little rushed in terms of structure but I didn't think it was bad... can you provide specific examples where you believe things aren't EQ'd properly? Because imo everything sits well in the mix and is isolated sonically... no?

i prefer the lower octave part vs the high octave. but yeah some equing needs to happen. the kick needs to be much punchier and the snare a little more set in the back. the sub needs to be way more present and the high less present i feel with this style.

This is basically what I meant. Perhaps do some A/B comparison with a track you like that is similar in style and is properly mastered. To give a better idea of how the drums and bass should be popping in your track.

I guess after working with the track for a while I get used to how it sounds but I'll give your advice some thought and tweak the tune accordingly... Thanks for taking the time out to listen to the tune either way
