what do you guys think about a running SNH production thread?

i feel like a production sub-forum in SNH would be awesome but obviously it would be segregating. maybe a thread would make a good balance?

The wobble questions are kep in Sound Design, so you can avoid those particular threads. Everything else, if you wants discuss something then discuss it and the people who are into it will join in.

but most ninjas never check the production board (i'm guessing) and the ones that do don't check it that often, not nearly as often as they check SNH for sure.

If someone is being really rude and an asshole to others, then they're asking to be trolled.

When they're just unaware of how things go here or haven't fully explored the forum yet and are asking a question that has already been answered, leave them alone.

Discourse. I really like the "get notified"-feature. do you get notifications implemented in the actual forum page? because I can't be bothered going through a dozen e-mails per day. it would be really sick if this would work in a facebook style, and I'd definitely appreciate anything in this vein.

I wouldn't mind a conversion of the house subforum into a "all music bar dubstep" subforum.

I though of opening "all music" subforum based on Discourse and then ask House subforum users to move House discussions there as well …

we are building platform which will be more than just a Reviews subforum to give more visibility to interviews/reviews… we will ask you to contribute as soon as have it working.

detailed plan has been drawn and DSF developers team is working on it already, but it takes time to code since we are limited with resources and man…
technical preparations (invisible to user) are finally behind us, so interviews/reviews platform and discourse subforum are on top of our list now.

So I mentioned reaching out to a wider community of music, but that doesn't mean ditching the dubstepforum brand. I'm not suggesting that. I think y'all can stay dubstep. But to get new users you're going to have to make the forum relevant in other areas, probably both online and off.

There was a time when you could sit back and stack cash off organic traffic, that is not going to happen anymore. You've got to go out and drive people here.

If classic dubstep is blossoming across the United States, where are those users, why aren't they coming here to learn about/talk about dubstep? Yeah, they're probably all on facebook. You've got to find a way to pull those mf'ers off facebook, and engage them in valuable interactions here.
