Synth Tutorial - James Blake "Retrograde"

Made a tut. Remaking the synths from the chorus, including that crazy "swarming bees" lead. Check it out below.

nice, great song..good job...its nice to hear something other than the usual metallic squonks every now and then.

Great tutorial mate. Love that synth in Retrograde (and those underlying chords gott daym)

Yeah, I love how he switches between major/minor keys. I made the MIDI files avail on my site if you're curious about those. Link in the video.
