i guess i correlate my age with my love for dnb, i was raving to it during its golden years. most often, when i talk to a younger group of electronic music fans in general, they tell me similar things like what you guys were mentioning, genres of music that are no faster than 140. if im not mistaken, a lot of people who post on here are pretty young, if i remember. minus nowaysj. he old. lol.

Dnb is still something the kids listen to, but DSF isn't the right forum for that. There's dnb fans on here, but most people will naturally be more attracted to slower stuff.

All that melts away when the lights are down and the bass is up.

Think OGLemon meant hardcore as in gabber/industrial hardcore/terror, not proto-jungle stuff.

I usually try to do a little mix at home to each theme. it's really inspiring and nice to get a theme imposed and try to build a selection around it. I can't mix properly to save my life though so I never send them in. this time I didn't even bother though. 170 is just not my thing. I first thought about doing a little thing with some tunes from the 70s or play only vocal samples from 1917 over some drone and noise records (this actually still sounds like a sick idea to me) but well...
