Post by chillichdommi » Thu Jun 12, 2014 10:07 am

Hey everyone, i´m trying to figure this out for quite a while now, but i can´t get
it right...

i´m very good ad Music theroy and coming up with chord Progressions,
but i can´t find a good chord Sound like everybody use´s These days like
Kill the Noise, Skrillex, Zomboy and specially Dillon Francis ones ( in the drop and the breakdown)

My favourite ones that i´m trying to recreate:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UytF8HWQzkY

they chord Sound under the vocal....i´ve tried distortion, bass + White noise + supersaw without detuning, + ott multiband compressing, eq and much more, but i can´t get them so powerfull and prominent...

Anyone can help me with this?

Thanks :)

I got 90% of the way with FMing two square waves. The tonality sounds major as well. Hope that helps.

Yeah I mean Frequency Modulating. I used FM8.

I think it needs to be layered with a sine wave and EQ would help.

So just 2 Square Waves modulating each other in fm8? i have no idea how fm8 works lol^^

yeah i do a lot of eq and effects afterwards.....and a sine Sub + White noise to fill the freq. spectrum :)

can you send me the fm8 preset maybe? would be awesome :)
