Sovereign - Rebuild [Deep/Dark 130 Business]
Got a tune here that's slightly different than what I usually do. It's a dark 130 Bassline House (only thing I can think to call it) tune in which I focus on sub movement with the 909 bass drum beat and other sub notes, as well as creating an eerie atmosphere with different far eastern instruments.

Very cool sounding track! It could use a bit more bass in between the kicks and snares but other than that great job!

First thing I would say is to avoid the Ableton vinyl effect, I think it sounds a bit off, better off to get a sample of a runout groove or something like that. I would also be tempted to EQ some of the resonant peaks out of that flutey synth which has a strange metallic ring to it in places.
Having said that, I like your pads and there's good movement and variation in the drums. It might be nice to hear a bit more hi hat though, and maybe something like a ride or shaker to give the top end a bit more movement.
I also don't really like the synth that comes in on the second drop, maybe instead of adding that in just change some of the melodic elements instead.

Thanks for the feedback. I usually never use the Ableton vinyl affect but I wanted to try it, wound up swapping it for some actual vinyl samples instead. I worked in some new hi-hats as well.skins345669 wrote:First thing I would say is to avoid the Ableton vinyl effect, I think it sounds a bit off, better off to get a sample of a runout groove or something like that.
