Honestly I think Jaydot is a bit correct here. Immigrants usually sell their labour for a much cheaper price than the people who already live in the country. The businessman wants to maximize his profit margin and hiring cheaper workers is just another tool to do that. I'd say that a lot of immigration is the result of people looking for better economic opportunities than the place they came from. Don't blame the immigrants, blame the economic systems that force people to have to move to a foreign land in order to achieve a decent living.jesslem wrote:I don't think you get the message tbh.jaydot wrote:Often the only winners in the immigration thing is employees getting cheap labour, not the people who lived there originally as they get undercut on jobs and not the immigrants themselves who have to work for little money and get exploited. I don't think they really all have a better skill set-they don't speak the native tongue and if their skillset was so good their own countries industries and economies would be flourishing. Which they're not.Trainrek wrote:the fact that immigration exists, and someone better qualified and harder working than you being more employable is just the nature of society, and the way the world works.jaydot wrote: it's just the nature of society and the way the world works..
Also don't think you understand economics tbh.

I expected to see "spikes" in people being anti-homeless, not literal spikes. What has this world come to?

Sad but true. Most people would be happy just the banning of such measures, as if that solves the problem.GreenWaffle wrote:Tbh the general population will forget about this by the end of the month

I wasn't comparing where I am with Englandjesslem wrote:You guys have slaves tbf.

Just saying, first world countries shouldn't have loads of homeless people/drug addicts if they want to be considered first world (IMO)

I agree. A report about how shitty poverty in the UK really is just got put out saying the amount of money at the top hides the lack of it at the bottom.

What country doesn't have a lot of homeless/addicts though? Hint: the answer is not Norway
I just noticed a spot with these spikes around here btw. Guess they thought.. it works against
pigeons, why not

Re: Anti homeless 'spikes'
only just saw this thread. cba raeding it all
anyway
clearly a completely ridiculous idea, people arent pigeons
with the money they've spent installing these spikes they could easily put it towards something to HELP homeless people. maybe create some shelters somewhere or something.

Most immigrants aren't even that hard working. Polish and that's about it. But lis that's expolitation. Plus they get a better standard of living out of it. So fair deal imo.
