A few of you may remember me from running a label called The Twenty/Twelve Imprint (20/12, 20twelvedubstep) around the 2009-2011 area. During that time I amassed a roster of great artists and an even more amazing catalog. Twenty Twelve Spanned a total of 53 released (free/commercial) and and a final total of 95 artists.
I really put a lot of effort into looking for outstanding music from artists that were just starting to build their brand. In 2009, we opened our doors to the internet's first all Dubstep Net-Label that catered to the Creative Commons aspect of releasing music. This effort gave us recognition from DSF (Dubstep Forum) when we became a nominee in the category of "Best New Label" for the Dubstep Forum/Juno Awards. This was much to my surprise but was also a confirmation of the work my Artists and I were releasing at the time.
I ran the Label in succession for a total of 2 years and in 2011 I closed the doors indefinitely and to be quite honest I wish I had never done that. I struggled with the option to relaunch 20/12 for around 3 years, I kept going back and forth with the prospect because the time never felt quite right. The further time progressed the more I became overwhelmed with the thought that I just needed to let it go. I knew I still wanted to publish music but I wanted something bigger and better than 20/12 was; The fact that everything was free on the label for a long period of time crippled the commercial aspects of the label. People just weren't taking the brand seriously until they saw the catalog and their tune changed. As much as I would like SUBLVL AUDIO to operate under creative commons primarily it is just not feasible to do so in excess. So to remedy this I will release one Various Artists creative commons LP every two quarters to satisfy my itch to compile great records that you all can download for free.
Now that you have a bit of History, SUBLVL AUDIO is loosely genre-less, Meaning I will entertain almost anything as long as it is dirty... pause

You can upload your demos at: HERE The password is DEMO
I also am not objective to DJ's who would like to be added to the mailing list, Please PM with your promo email and a link to your mixes and I will sort you out. The Label is launched now, but we begin actual releases at the end of June. You can find all information regarding releases and label stuffs @ SUBLVL AUDIO.
Most releases will be digital with the exception of a few artists that are selected for CD printing, Vinyl obviously is quite a beast to tackle and I am not considering it until the next year of business.
Thanks for reading this long ass post! I'm out.
