I heard Pirlo had 102 out of 108 passes completed vs england , I don't think he's quite faded yet

Don't know why everyone was so slow to appreciate Pirlo over here, he was one of my favourite players well before that game 4 years ago

Pirlo's still great, but just about every professional athlete is fading at 35. He's got a few years left; it's not like I said he was shit. Just past his prime. Which he is.

I doubt he'll ever lose his ability to pass, but eventually you're too slow no matter how talented you are.

Did anyone else think Chile vs Spain was almost horrifically violent?
At one point even the ref got jumped. Someone got elbowed in the head.

Yeah but with no Spain in the competition, that means no silky smooth champagne football.

I don't think they do that very well tbh. They're actually boring to watch imo. Like, they win because their opponents quit because of boredom.

I can see England getting stuffed by Uruguay tonight. At least if they go out, i wont have to constantly hear news about Wayne Rooney and Steven Gerrard for farks sake.

Great goal. Why do Ivory Coast only start playing when Drogba comes on?!
