May I suggest keeping the city on the shirts and having it wrap around the whole bottom. Looks cool never the less.

live trace in illustrator does that fairly well. with maybe some brightness/contrast to the original photo.

I swear I've seen a t-shirt with the exact same Tubby pic, filtered the same exact way with the exact same soundsystem speakers behind him in my local reggae store.
Looks ace though!

I'd buy it!

Yeh thats not bad man, but id like to see it with a white background rather than the beige. Would that work with the image, i have a feeling it might make a slightly different tone for the rest of the collage

I like it, I can see it working with white too, or reversing the fade so the shirt would be the centermost green fading out from beige. Actually any combo of earthtones would work with that design. Nicely done.

thanks everyone, glad y'all like it. hopefully i can get these in production in the next two weeks. shirts aint cheap and i've got hella bills to pay.
i will do my best to make these with white and green/olive shirts. i like the green myself, but i can understand it it's not your color. i prefer earth tones, black and gray myself.
thanks again!!!

i used illustrator's live trace. basically place the photo in there and tweak the settings until you like the way it looks. it took me a few weeks of experimenting to get it down, so try it out yourself! also some photos work better than others. the more contrast, the clearer.
hit me up on aim or email if you want more info.
i have more design stuff up here if anyone is interested.
