Don't listen to much drone shit, but this is sick!
Re: The Industrial|Drone|Noise|Techno intersection
Éliane Radigue makes some really nice meditational music. You should check out her music if you want to find some more drone.

Re: The Industrial|Drone|Noise|Techno intersection
fucking radically sick thread with a million big ups awarded to all of you.
Here's some local "Not Not Fun Records" snooze fest for the ambient inclined...
https://soundcloud.com/ensemble-economique
I'm not totally submerged into the modern noise drone thing, I catch it when those shows pass through. and my friends are in a couple bands like starving weirdos and white manna.
I remember back in the day D. Yellow Swans (Pete Swanson's old band), Grails, The Locust, Wolf Eyes, Kill Me Tomorrow, all those 31G and GSL records bands, and the like would throw down intense shows all the time, but none of it was really techno-influenced at all, little to no hardware really, I'm glad things have progressed in the direction they have, because it opens up the conventions of experimental to new formats and ideas, theres always an underlaying current that experimental music has to offer there's something similar about The Velvet Underground's Venus in Furs, the moodiness of a drone. it's hypnotic and seducing, it adds tension and as things change it leads to gradual relief. the relationship between the machine and the artist is a different method than using instruments. This isn't to say people haven't been using hardware, but not to make this kinda super extreme noisy-techno "kill yourself" shit, there's a total sense of antagonizing avant-garde, if there's one track I think really sorta fucked the game up in this department, I'd love to hear it! Please dose me with that song PM me ffs! It's been DAngello and Beyonce up in my dome piece lately
and any blitz-distortied-basslines-acid-tech-punk is more than welcome, could use more abrasive noisy shit right now that isn't instrument based. Though one of my favorite bands ever need a note in this thread... the BOREDOMZ
I was at this exact show!
