Nice sounds but it pretty empty.
Yeah this. I like him alot more on features tho.
You must be white if you dont think losing your caddy isnt the blues tho

It was more about the fact that singing about losing a Cadillac seems a bit materialistic when you compare it to what the blue singers in the 30'sand 40's where singing about it's seem a bit silly to say losing a Cadillac is the blues.

Goldie is overrated. I'm not criticizing Metalheadz...but I don't understand why he's hailed as such a legendary musical icon when he had Rob Playford produce Timeless for him. Am I missing something ?
Plus his cameo in Snatch was fuckin LAME
I found a way to get piece of mind for years and left the hell alone, turn a deaf ear to the cellular phone

Yeah but Goldie was the DJ/ the face of the music. The credit is going to go to the guy who is actually out there movin and shakin. Some people are meant to be frontmen and some aren't.
I think at this point everyone understands Goldie was the executive producer, and tbh his role was just important as making timeless sound the way it did. Its the Dr Dre argument but in dnb.

Yeah this
Also, Goldie pretty much IS Metalheadz, so even if you don't like his music you've got to respect what he has achieved with the label. The bass music scene today would have been very different had it not been for 'Headz
Regardless of how it was made Timeless is an amazing album IMO

yeah
even if you completely disregard timeless and all the other stuff he made, goldie as a DJ and label head was probably more influential than anyone else in the dnb scene

Metal headz has had a really bad influence at the same time.
It could be argued their way of doing things is what makes dnb on the whole such a shit hole to work in.

Very disappointed, probably not an unpopular opinion. D Double, Danny Brown and Gorgeous Children all feature on the album though so still looking forward to it.

There's a load of cases where they fucked over producers, even producers that made the label what it is. Not paying them and other guerilla tactics. The prime example being Konflict and how metalheadz kidnapped their track 'messiah'.

I don't get why people are upset about Goldie having other producers do the technical shit for him
Goldie sounds like Goldie wether its playford or Heist or whoever on the boards. Timeless also sounds nothing like 2 Bad Mice or the stuff on Moving Shadow so I don't really think Playford was doing the real authorship and whatever.
