If my boss ever talked about racist shit like that i'd tell him to fuck off. There's having a discussion about a topic, and there's having a discussion that targets the same people because of the way they are.
Does he not know white people also benefit cheat, are in gangs and get up to dodgy ass shit etc. Fark sake.

Why would your family associate with a piece of shit like that?
I'm not pointing fingers at your family btw, but maybe you shouldn't treat him nicer on account of them knowing him if he's a racist shit tnuc.

he's one of the nicest guys i know. never seen him say anything like that for the 18-19 years i've known him. the thing about interacting day-to-day with conservatives is that it's all fine & dandy until someone disagrees with them. it forces them to examine their own beliefs and then they see that they are wrong, develop a cognitive dissonance, try to justify it and end up trying to convince you (the sit downs) to "see it their way," and then the ugly things come out. this isn't the first time i've seen it happen.
lots of people were just raised that way in the 60s/70s and earlier i think and ofc they'll tell you "im not racist, but..." but that's just the way a lot of (older) ppl think in america. people who are <40 are generally safe. there are even people in my extended family that are like that. not my immediate family, but some of the older relatives can be a bit iffy, and i live in a very liberal state.
like if you were raised that way and the animus is just stuck inside you, whatever, i won't hold it against you, but keep it to yourself ffs.
you realize that probably 30-40% of america is like that right? lol that means a good amount of the people i know are like that. you can't avoid it.

Maybe something has happened to him recently to start his hatred, like walking in into his house after work to find his wife cheating on him with a black guy in their bedroom, while listening to Barry White in the background.

lol i doubt it. it's because he deals with government regulators and people on welfare and there are some people try to scam the system (which does take away from his profits), but obv not as many as he says/thinks and they probably aren't as ill-intentioned as he thinks (ie im guessing it's a misunderstanding more often than someone truly trying to scam hiim).

Too true.
It's tell when someone consider something objective and it comes out looking like they are clinging onto something almost physicly palpable inside of them while explaining it.

Honestly even nice people can have negative and sometimes hateful opinions like this. I guess the question is do these opinions effect the way he treats these people as he seems to be in a position to have a negative impact on a person belonging to the ethnicities he seems to dislike. Like for instance refusing to hire them or passing them over for something they deserve.
I'm fine with people thinking what they want to think and saying what they want to say. But the moment those opinions begin affecting other people and their lives, then something needs to be done.

Yes, because his boss was going to confide his racial rants to a black man
