I keep meaning to put him back and see how long he lasts.

Maybe I'll replace him with the Mexico manager.

Mexico got really unlucky . I was beginning to think Holland were out of it with visible effect that the heat was having on their performance. Great goal from Sneijder though. Was celebrating Greece not making it through last night too . Those nerves when Campbell stepped up for his pen :o. All of the Costa Rica pens were brilliant. I think USA should have a good chance against Belgium who, considering some of the players that they have, haven't exactly been convincing imo.

Can't wait to see how they perform tonight but, overall, I think I'm favoring France to win the tournament. Holland and Germany have simmered down since their first games while France have been consistently steamrolling opponents with the one exception of their last group game where they didn't need to earn any points in order to top their group. I just think they've been on another level so far compared to everyone else. Beyond the individual moments from Messi that have so far got them through the group stage, Argentina just haven't impressed me at all as a team.

Shame Bryan Ruiz hasn't had more succes. Really akward but interesting player like a Guti or Mendieta type almost but I fear there's going to be less room for those types of players when the bundes and prem is ahead. .

The European teams (apart from Greece) that made it into the knockouts are all pretty quality though; I think my 'sensible' money is on Germany still, but I'd fucking LOVE Colombia to do it.

Tension's building up for me right now. I think we should deal with Nigeria without too much problems but this is the first match we're going to play at 1pm in the heat. We'll see how it goes...

Is anyone else wondering how to ask Diego about his use of "thrower" without being needlessly rude?

I'm more interested in the penal tie.

It seems like a really good idea to make diving players wear a tie if they fucked up, especially on the pitch :W:
