Agree, takes away all the fun. One of the only advantages physical shops have over online ones imo is that you can flick through loads of records you'd likely never encounter otherwise and maybe discover a gem.

I go down if im in the area, I prefer the second hand places but BM can have some good bits. Phonicas "bass" bits abit bare tho.

Its no better or worse reallly, I only ever looked in the dubstep/dnb shelf and the disco bit. Will be godawful come RSD though if you want to look at anything dance related.

i pretty much only look in dubstep there, but it's bright and white now, i liked that it was basically a dark cave before, it's how record shops should be.

i agree as well. i don't like these record stores (bm, sotu, phonica, seven sisters) because they don't have any records to go through.... i mean what's the point looking at empty sleeves? i can process much more information on the internet and it saves more time, the one fun thing record stores had, is gone.

I remember the first time I played a ZamZam 7" out. it was the Alpha&Omega dubplate thing. mc just looked at me and went "... that's heavy". The weight they manage to press on a 7" is absolutely overwhelming. big up the producers, the engineers, the pressing plant...
