I definitely pose that a lot of people are bound to jerk it all the time. And in cultures where crime or criminal activity is to be handled only by the police, or people in authority, most people will just sit there and let it happen, both to themselves, and to others.

I definitely pose that a lot of people are bound to jerk it all the time. And in cultures where crime or criminal activity is to be handled only by the police, or people in authority, most people will just sit there and let it happen, both to themselves, and to others.

There's a problem in assuming it can never work, if the basis for thinking it is that for example US police are racist or let's say more likely to move out in a white area where there is less risk oif retribution or whatever the excuse is.
I don't believe it's the principle but just history in certain places. It's not a culture of authority that by itself breed this condition. At the same time you are obviously pointing out an issue I agree with.
