Young people have it easy.. I genuinely struggle to believe how fit I used to be without even trying. Then you spend your 20s sitting on your arse and convincing yourself that energetic dancing and fucking will see you through and suddenly you *need* a gym routine just so you don't end up in a box by 40.

It's not really about getting hench or anything for me, I rarely do much strength work (I'm not about to switch careers to Viking marauder)... the ability to feel fit and healthy is a much underrated human life skill. Fuck wheezing at the top of a flight of stairs, I'd much rather get friendly with the treadmill.

yeah feeling healthy is the best. been 2 months now and im starting to get back to being able to walk up hills and stairs without dying :lol:

also managed to work my way up to half hour jogs , which i know aint ages but the other month i could barely do 5 mins without dying

still wanna get henny tho

I think a fair amount of people who go gym are making up for being short or personality defects. At least this is true for a lot of people I know.

This definitely isn't true for everyone though and im sure when I stop being able to do what I want without getting fat I will go.
