you got it, i just dropped it off at the post office. i shipped it overnight but you probably won't get it until saturday since tomorrow's a holiday. i'm a big fan of y2k-era trance so the jp was the first synth i had to get my grubby hands on. as much as i respect sylenth and adam szabo's jp6k or diva's new supersaw oscillator, they still fall short of what the jp can do. especially when you use the feedback oscillator and play with the harmonics and feedback amount faders like in these vids http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xt79qsVOY_0

i was dreading that somebody might catch that. my wife took control of those shelves so that's all her stuff, i promise. it'd make a perfect place to put my vinyls but instead i'm stuck putting them in milk crates in the corner of the room.

Here is my studio I just built. I framed in and added air conditioning, vital in the Texas heat, to half of my garage to complete this. It is approximately 500 SF with my DJ setup and production setup in there. I currently dont have any pictures of my production setup, it is on the opposite wall of my dj setup.

Production Setup:
Desktop Computer w/ 16gig RAM, Quad core processor, plenty of HDD space.
Rokit 5's
Saffire 6 USB
Akai MPK Midi Controller
Maschine
DSI Mopho Desktop

DJ Setup:
(2) CDJ 1000 MKII's (Love them, prefer the feel of them to the CDJ 2000's)
(1) DJM 700 Mixer
Macbook Pro
SL3 Box
**Really want to get a third CDJ for the setup, having only 2 is making my sets start to feel very limited.

The studio also has internet and cable ran to it with a 55" LED TV in it. It is basically my man cave where I can smoke, drink, make myself deaf and watch football at the same time. The only downside is the kitchen is on the backside of the wall in the picture and the speakers rattle the wine glasses and china in the cabinets

Still finishing up some minor parts of the construction and then I will post the rest of the pictures including the production setup.

its crazy that the jp8000 is nearly 20 years old now. it was also one of my first synths,well the 8080 was(first being the incredible/terrible Korg EA1)! I remember getting some super gnarly sounds out of the feedback osc...

hey it takes hours to set those things up! Impossible to keep the cables tidy, you should see behind the rack haha...

The speakers are the kind that bang...no but for real they are (2)carvin tr 1503's on the top (2) Peavey HDH 3's 18" woofer cabs on the bottom. The monitors are by far my favorite, they are 15" JBL 2000 watt speakers, I cant remember the name of them right now but they are awesome. In the rack I have a couple of dbx boxes an old peavey eq and the amps for the speakers.

That's nowhere close to all of it though. I have a 6' bookshelf packed full, and probably ten crates scattered around the house. I needed a way to get my monitor up and figured that wouldn't do damage to them.

Before I moved, I used to always just pile them up in vertical stacks around the house. I know you're not suppose to, but i've never really had an issue. And all the vinyl I buy is shit quality already anyway *dollar bin* I can't remember the last time I bought a new record.
