Does pulse-width modulation help?

Sounds pretty good. How did you make the sound Cavemanfunk?

you're on the right track. it sounds to me like his is a much warmer, saturated version of what you've made, and perhaps a few more layers deep. the sub behind it is also very driven 808 style which contributes a lot to the midrange's feel.

After futher experimentation i realised that's the key to it, and ontop of that going to extreme efforts to super warmify it up i've gotten a lil closer, but alas we all end up with our own spin don't we. :h:

I've since come up with a better version, with further processing, but the initial patch is using massive, VA-PWM on osc1 and a smooth square on osc 2, tweak to pref, ease off on the attack, big sustain and a snappy release and it's there, distort it, add some reverb, frequency split and layer a sine underneath, distort the mids further.

Rinse and repeat etc, till you end up with something nice.
