at least Detroit was just about the right side of cheesy + it set off dances.

Would be embarrassed to drop either of those tunes out tbh

when these dnb guys play footwork out, do they just pitch footwork up like +8 to make it closer to 170 or do they just play dnb slower and bring the 160 tunes up meeting half way?

no one where i'm from is doing anything remotely interesting like that, it's still dancefloor fodder all the time like it's still 2004 and nothings changed : (

shame too considering MPLS is like 6 hours from chicago...

a lot of these bits that fracture n that are making are 160 anyway, apart from that seems to be a meet halfway or transistion up/ down thing

what does minneapolis have/ play?

The footwork/dnb thing is more a UK than Chi-town thing. The last place I would expect people to go wild for Fracture is Chicago tbh

you missed my point i think....but chicago has had a pretty strong (albeit stale as of late) dnb scene through the 90s and into the 00s...

my point was that most of the djs in the upper midwest haven't really evolved with the styles of dnb as of late which is unfortunate as our proximity to the birthplace of the influence of one of those variants is right here and for the djs who live here to not have caught that wave to me is, short sighted and stagnant.

hence my curiousity as to how the UK DJs were playing footwork/footwoork inspired dnb in their sets, as besides myself, i haven't really heard anyone in MPLS playing it at nights...

i personally play somewhere under 170 maybe like +5.5, 6.5 and it sounds good
