Dubstep Parody: RC Boat

Post by commander_dub » Thu Jul 10, 2014 3:52 pm

Hi there fellow dubstep fanatics. First time posting here in Dubstep Forum.
Yesterday, while I was cleaning my swiming pool, my son was playing with his RC Boat and the remote controller broke down. Oh my.. The sounds it produced remember us of Dubstep and it was hilarious. We both like dubstep and have a huge respect for the dubstep community, but damn, we laughed our asses off. We video taped it, hoping in sharing the experience with you guys. We hope you enjoy and have fun.

Cheers,

Commander Dub.

Needs more sub-bass to really be dubstep though.

Sounds like typical brostep so the title is correct

Ahaha. Awesome. Yeah, you're right. Something is missing, but still funny as hell. Brostep? How many more variations has dubstep?

Thanks for your feedback.

Cheers,

Commander Dub.

listen, Commander Dub. got nothing better to do so i might as well explain

brostep = a term coined to describe the music that sounds a bit like that boat

dubstep = a totally different type of music that doesn't sound like a boat at all. if you're actually interested, there's the "what is dubstep?" or something like that, thread found on this "general discussion" -subsection of the forum

Thanks for the info man. I've listening to Skrillex, being my favorite track, First of The Year (Equinox). I searched the interwebs and got to know that it's considered brostep.(is this correct?) I tought it was dubstep. Hehe. Anyway, I might consider change the video title to brostep then.

Cheers,

Commander Dub.

It's all dubstep dude, what you're referring to is just quite a bastardised version of it. 'Brostep' is an unofficial term coined by people who are more into the 'true' dubstep sound/vibe to describe the very aggressive, high-pitched squealy side of the genre. Your Skrillex's etc...

Welcome, anyway. Hopefully you'll find some music and information about the genre here that you may not have been aware of :W:

It was coined by Rusko before Skrillex existed. How can a genre name become official anyway?
