Lots of people from all over Europe this time. Was awesome.
Too bad Oswald Trio was not able to perform though.

Highlights for me were the Ostgut guys, Surgeon and Benny Rodrigues.

main stage sound system was one of the best i've heard at a festival easy peasy

Yeah they always do pretty good sound. Liked how they just dropped a huge container between two stages because there were complaints of bleed.

crowd really friendly, spoke to so many nice people

had an amazing time really

but pretty shit festival though i think
way too many negative points

dont think i would go back unless they changed a lot of shit about it.

That guy climbed way into a truss, onto a horizontal one. He then resisted being
taken away. Pretty nutty thing to do imo.
An hour before, security guys were handing out free cigars at the BR stage

I don't know if Benny has actually been to Pig Auschwitz, but it's not similar at all. So don't let that put you off Diego.
I agree it's fairly expensive, I never really eat much at festivals though, so I spent about
€110. In the city a beer is about €2,50, at most festivals it's 20 cents more.

i havent been to auschwitz but iv been to plenty of small festivals (since i h8 big ones)

good points

- real friendly crowd
- incredible DJs (only saw a couple sets i was disappointed by)
- fucking amazing arses everywhere
- pretty good soundsystems, well mastered
- watermelon slushie
- nice locaiton in the forest (featuring cool spinning radar dish. bigup the radar dish)
- toilets kept pretty clean
- soem of the food was pretty fucking tasty
- some of the staff were friendly and gave free stuff on the last day

bad points

- militant security guards at the entrence and on patrol giving out bad vibes
- not alllowed to take fruit and snacks into the festival.... loads of ppl got their stuff binned
- not allowed to take empty water bottles into the festival... (insanity)
- cant take ur ganja into festival, or smoke it there (even tho its amsterdam....)
- food = tiny portions and ott overpriced, even for festivals
- way too far from the camp site (obviously so u couldnt just run back and grab some snacks, so u had to buy their expensive food)
- no free water ANYWHERE, which is complete and utter disregard for peoples' health & safety (easily the worst point)
- absolutely useless stnuc in the first aid tent
- water bottle was more expensive than beer (water was almost 4 euros or some shit)...
- yes the beer was "cheap" at the festival but it was half pints and the useless moron staff gave u half filled cups full of head and spilled everywhere
- absolute piss take when leaving the festival at the end of the night and also when re-entering the camp site

summary

weekend fortunately saved by:
the crew i went there with being awesome fun, a really friendly crowd, good DJs, soundsystem, location

if you arent a fan of capitalist pig festivals, dont bother. festivals should be chilled as fuck & a place of freedom to let go, they should not make everyhting an arduous fjucking hassle

if u can let the "little things" * slide, go ham with the $$$ and make the most of it, then hit it up for the lineups and booty

and make sure u stay in amsterdam for a few days before or after, cos its a really beautiful city
