One thing, might be the bandcamp upload, but both tracks seem to be quite a bit lower in level
than most other music I compared to.

AxeD, I'm not sure why that is because they are properly mastered tracks... hmm, looking around bandcamp there doesn't seem to be any options to notch up volumes either
