Pretty sure he does most of that himself. He has enough gear for it.

Jeez I just wanted a little help and the help on nowaysj thread wasn't any help. You're acting like I have no experience at this. I just wanted some EQ, distortion, compression techniques and sample suggestions to help me get that sound (for the snare in a moment to myself). Jeez I thought I would be able to come here and get professional help from people with YEARS of experience. Telling me to figure it out without any advice is not help and neither is telling me which sample packs to get for it without steps of how to process it. Sorry for wasting your time though (not being sarcastic)

Like I said in that other thread, I haven't heard a deadmaws song since the 90's so would be no help. Other people did seem to know the snare in question and gave you some good pointers, as well as sample sources.

:a: It may not be the help you wanted, but maybe the help you needed.

Who did deadmaws ask about how to make a deadmaws snare? :Q:

seriously though this is all the advice you need, however 'unhelpful' you may consider it to be. electornic music existed before the Internet strange as it may be to imagine so how did those artists find out how to make certain sounds if there was none to ask?

They practiced synthesis. I never asked about making sounds either btw. All the fun is in experimenting for me. I mean I got taught synthesis and mixing etc.. but not making a specific sound.

I don't think nowaysj finds it strange to imagine that electronic music was around
before the www btw :)

K first of all, deadmau5 never made a track in the 90`s so idk what the hell you`re talking about. Second, I`m sorry for giving you such crap. I did realize yesterday I need to experiment and do things on my own from now on like make my OWN snares :) So thanks for making me realize that :Q:

He even named one of his compilation albums after the period of time the tunes were written in;

Wonder if that's a reference to Halcyon hot springs in BC.
