i mean yeah theres the obvious character assassination and trying to portray the victim as a thug, which you see in every one of these incidents, but ultimately, it's completely irrelevant. no one deserves to die, regardless of whether theyre into "hard narcotic use and dealing" or not
zimmerman pursued trayvon even after being told not to by the police
trayvon was unarmed and posed no credible threat to zimmerman
zimmerman has repeatedly shown that hes violent, threatening both his exwife and girlfriend by pointing guns in their faces
Trayvon while on top of Zimmerman struck Zimmerman in the nose hard enough to open a wound on the exterior of the nose, as well as smashed Zimmerman's head into the concrete hard enough to open wounds on the back of Zimmerman's head. That is a credible threat. Deal with that reality. I don't know if you've ever been in a real fight, but from the way you discuss things, I get the sense that you haven't. You've never been hit hard enough to really know what that feels like. I've received some blows that I felt posed an existential threat! Like one more and I'm gone.
People don't deserve to die for any reason, even old age or disease. Trayvon was a thug, likely was dealing, used hard narcotics, fought for pleasure, and used, bought, and or sold illegal firearms. That is the type of person he was. That suggests an attitude towards the world as well as his likely disposition when confronted that night. That type of behavior lead him to be thrown out of school as well as out of his own home. I'm confident that Trayvon was on the way to becoming another statistic in America, incarcerated or burned into dust at the county morgue. It is a shame, a real shame.
But, I absolutely do believe Zimmerman was legally justified in shooting Trayvon that night. It is very disappointing that you would advocate the removal a fellow human being's right to self defense. If you want to be a victim of violence, if you want your future wife, your children to be victims of violence, those that you're charged to protect, that is your prerogative. It is fucking twisted, but it is you and your life, I leave you to make your choices that affect you and your family, but when you try to remove rights from other people, it is disrespectful, disgraceful. I'll vehemently speak against you, and work to thwart that agenda.
Zimmerman did nothing wrong, legally. Again, deal with that fact.
seemed like there was a lot of manipulated evidence in the trayvon martin case tbh, the whole thing stank of lies and cover-up. loads of changing stories on zimmermans side while argument from martins side was pretty consistent throughout
btw re. martins "character assassination":
well firstly drug use and possession is absolutely no reason to condemn anyone for anything. also where are u getting "fought for pleasure from"?
http://www.buzzfeed.com/ellievhall/tray ... d-horsebac (apologies for shit website but first one that came up l0l)
the stuff i see here is not dissimilar to any kid with divorced parents and an unstable home life. also his mum bought a gun but let him play with it asfar as i can see
but the main point is, why was any of that published and relevant to the case at hand? it was not. if youre going to condemn martin for his past, then why not take a look at zimmermans too, which was surely much MUCH relevant? arrested for violently resisting police, accused of child molesting, beat up his ex wife, threatened his ex wife with a gun, history of racism... and hes still getting in trouble with the law now afaik...
trayvon may have been a messed up kid from divorced familiy who was into drugs etc, but zimmerman was a guy with previous criminal record who was into beating women, molesting children and threatening people with guns??
which to you is the greater indicator of instability?
also regarding those head injuries.... no one knows for a fact WHEN they occurred. were they during the fight? after martin was dead? did martin attack zimmerman after having a gun pulled on him in the confrontation? what would u do if someone 2 feet away from you pulled the gun on you and was probably spouting racist murder stuff at you
imo if u stalk someone with the intent to intimidate them or injure them, and then u get ur ass kicked, then u deserve the ass kicking
its _not_ self to defence to go shoot the person kicking ur ass, if ur the one who instigated the whole situation
