It's like a mothers care vs a drill sergeant.
I'm sure if I understood this I'd disagree with it.

you can't not be a tnuc writing something like that.

gerrard is roy of the rovers to l'pool supporters if you can't see that players like scholes and if you're including foreign players yaya, viera, ronaldo (winger at utd), bergkamp are better you aren't looking at the situation objectively

Scholes has 107 goals in 499 league appearances Gerrard 11 in 475. Scholes 14 in 66 England colours Gerrard 21 in 114. I've watched him drag an ordinary team to finals and he never played in teams as good as the players you mentioned. I was talking midfield.

I can hang at the pub aswell but I've always been told that you can't discuss politics in pubs when ive been - so thats another sign that you collectively misinterpret the fun that can be had there in overanalysing this silly game of kicking about a pigs bladder :W:

gerrard better than scholes because he's scored more goals
fuck it though if you can't see it you can't see it but you aren't thinking about gerrard objectively

Where have I claimed he was better?

The point was not to claim Gerrard was better than those players merely that they weren't much better than Gerrard. I wasn't using their respective records to suggest he was better I was pointing to their similarity. You want objectivity I point to some objective facts and you lol at them. I don't think I'm the one failing to think of this objectively.

I was pointing to a quick objective fact given that you wanted objectivity. Gerrard also can't be judged just by his goals but other areas of comparison are likely to be more subjective which was kind of what you were criticising me for. No wonder we aren't making progress.

lol what the fuck happened here Hubb says Wilshere looked (at one point) that Wilshere might go on to eventually surpass gerrard and scspkr99 proper goes off on a mad one

anyway, great news for entertainment value Balotelli is back in the prem. playing city on monday as well imagine if he plays in that!

I know i said a while ago that i wasnt up for Arsenal getting Balotelli, but seeing Liverpool getting him for a good price makes me wish we'd jumped in there.

Granted he's unpredictable/a knob/not really in the 'arsenal' mould but for 16 mil he wouldve been ideal as an alternative to Giroud, much more likely to pluck something out of nothing whereas Giroud's more of a 'give it me on a plate'-Klose type of poacher & im amazed he's going for under 25 mil. (Altho his wages are probably on some absolute Wonga hype)

It wasn't really a mad one if you read my posts and my objection wasn't just about the Wilshire Gerrard thing but about Hubb's tendency to hyperbole, consider the comments regarding Barkley.

In any case I'm fucking delighted regarding Balotelli

No way i wouldve thought he'd be one of the guys after 120+bags

I suppose there's only so long you can demand big cash without actually scoring that many goals

i'd imagine there'd be a lot of goals/ appearances bonus in is contract, would make sense to target him and try and focus the lad

yeah that's what i would have done, lower wages but higher goal bonus. I still think he's a risky signing tbh

yeah that would make sense with regard to the appearances and goals I also think that Liverpool are keen to get some assurances on behaviour.

He is a risk but I'd rather risk 16m on him than 10m on Borini or 35m on Andy fucking Carroll.
