BIOGRAPHY

Hailing and operating from Heerlen in the south of the Netherlands, Monti started producing Dubstep music in 2008. Although he had no previous experience in producing music he rapidly developed his style. An important drive for his music is his perfectionism as a musical artist. In 2011 he was discovered by Rusher, a German Drum & Bass artist who gave him the opportunity to release on his dubstep label Digital Sanctuary Recordings. Monti’s track ‘Caged’, a mix of ambient atmosphere and dubstep became part of ‘The Calm EP’ with various artist as Dubtek and Matta. This was a big step forward and gave him a lot of motivation to take more time in music development. Resulting to look at different styles within the scene to get inspiration from. To push his sound forward he got involved in the organization of the Filtered Forms event begin 2011. It was a conjuction with a hometown venue called ‘Nieuwe Nor’. A year later in 2012 he started to play weekly shows on the dutch radiostation Access FM.

Monti has done collaborations with underground legends as Curzed and Hitman (Dubstar Records). In 2013 Monti became part of the Dubstar family and got signed on South-East Londen based F-one’s Dubstar Records, and released his second EP called ‘Warp Drive’. Monti’s music contains characteristic drum patterns, weightful basslines with deep atmosphere. Steadily he’s gaining support from known artists in the scene.

In his career Monti has performed on big events abroad and in the Netherlands, alongside major artists such as Kromestar, Dark Tantrums, Lost, 16bit, Koan Sound, Commodo, Eddie K, Dismantle and many more. Rhythmic underground vibes characterize Monti’s outstanding DJ-sets. He will always keep the dub vibe in his sets.
