Hey y'all! So I listened Barely Alive - Sell Your Soul ft. Jeff Sontang and I liked the song, and then I saw that Disciple Recordings uploaded the Eptic's preview remix of the song and there's that sound (0:43), (0:50) and (0:57) It sounds dope to me and I would love to hear some relpy!
Soundcloud
Thanks in advance!!!

eptics basses are pretty straight forward, he achieves his sound mostlying with a small bit of bit reduction on his bass layers, then layers a separate sub layer, when i say bit reduction, there are many ways of saying the term.

Judging by your time stamps yeh it seems what you want is simple bit reduction or bitcrushers
If you're using massive use the sample and hold effect
if you're using ableton the built in "Redux" plug in is pretty good for it
You can get cool risers and downlifter effects from it too
