iirc the plate every three weeks was to sort out the backlog they'd built up by the end of 2011, and they did it.

I can't believe you guys don't like Beezledub!

Instructions is decent, I especially like that little synth line. I can see why you're not into Ounce but whatever. Would like to hear some audio for the Zed Bias one. Anyone know of any out there?

Just listened to the youtube clip of that paleman tune and it sounds like it doesn't do the tune justice.. I can't be sure cause its all I've heard but its hard to hear the low end but it sounds like a rollaaaa. Palemans a pretty solid producer so I'll be purchasing. Trumpet bit sounds a bit bait lol tho.

So is 81 gunna be (as well as digital) vinyl... on time vinyl, just not proper artwork and it'll be ltd? That'd be decent.. Swamp output is slowwwww, by the time tunes come out they've been rinsed on radio and inna de dance.

I assume Swamp & School have taken a hit like most big labels from the ST holdings thing. Swamp don't release at a very fast pace at the best of times... as long as the vinyl isn't completely abandoned I don't see the problem. If it means more output and releases coming out on time, any set backs just effect the release date of the vinyl, I'm all for it.

nail on the head. it's a just logical way to continue functioning as a label until the admin shitstorm is dealt with imo.

yeah i'm a bit surprised there's no love for beezledub, that synth line is classic! one to remember imo. i've heard it in my car with a sub and on a system and it's proper fire. i hated instructions at first but it's definitely grown on me. ounce is pretty standard, but then again i picture that it would go off in a dance...
most of the tunes i hear in this particular spectrum of "bass music" (half-step house/swamp vibes etc) i don't believe have a hard hitting impression first time round, but hearing the tracks in a particular environment in a club and it's a completely different story.

re: release schedules etc, remember most of the time the delay and long waiting times is to generate as much hype & talk as possible. and from the quick sell outs, it looks like it's working. everyone talking about swamp, debating releases, debating how good tracks are (and how shit), asking for I.Ds... it's all extremely favourable to the swamp81 camp!

which i'm not saying is a bad thing btw. if you want to be a record label "keeping it real", then that's how the business works

Beezledub goes off in the dance. So it's no surprise to me it's not widely liked on here

Those tunes sound alright. That bezels whatever (my memory is that bad) is one of those good in the club tunes. Just think 1am jaw side gymnastics crew. The chunky one, rah wasn't expecting that. Well decent!

can you elaborate? i can't see how creating a sublabel simplifies anything in this situation..
