PHPBB search functions aren't especially intuitive in general.

You can't search for words of 3 characters or less, which makes certain acronyms very hard to find.

I find it best to use the Advanced Search functionality, ensuring that you set the sub forum of whatever you want to look in, and if possible to return only threads with the word in the title in thread format only, for example;

Code: Select all

where 'criteria' is the word you're looking for. So if we take 'cats' as an example that would be;

Code: Select all

Which would show all threads in Production, with the word 'cats' in the thread title, and display the results in thread format only. Unfortunately, the presence of the [ ] tags in the search URL mean you can't embed the link directly outside of the Code tags as it's trying to close a parentheses that isn't really there.
