That being said, it wasn't as bad in the end. I get it, just don't find the stuff we read from him particularly exciting.

Well there's nothing particularly scandalous or surprising about it and his style is often superfluous while failing to make certain key relationships clear, which would be so annoying if he didn't go to so much trouble to write the way he does in the first place, so reading and writing about it is more like a chore than a stimulating mental exercise.
