You can hear that sonic punch to the ear @ 1:15. I've heard it at a bunch of other producers, has that kind of grimey feel to it.
Does anybody know it's origin, how to recreate it, maybe some old fm synth ?
Cheers ! :t:

It's kinda like a square wave with low pass, envelope making it gently roll off down the filter, with slight distortion, but you have to be precise with distortion if you want to make it good!Soundcloud

Hey m808, I think you should put your track in your signature; which is editable in the user profile thingy to the right of the screen instead of manually putting it in every post. :corndance:

I think its just a heavily gain driven 808 tom with a pitch envelope on it. loads of people are doing that ish atm.
it could be a squarewave with a sine for sub, distorted with a quick pitch env as well but, tbh it sounds like hes ran either an 808 kick or tom through a mackie desk or something with the gain way up and the fader down, and then heavily compressed it and ran it back int DAW. maybe add bit of chorus or summat.

I think the magic is in the pitch envelope. try it. :w:
