We can only hope so.

But in that case, it would be a pretty long list.

Gordon improved as the episode went on, IMO. His opening monologue to Bruce about the light one day returning was pretty fucking cringe though. Enjoyed the portrayal of Penguin...it was the right kind of campy to portray the character as a misfit, and reminded me of a young Peter Lorre in a couple of scenes

Think whatever I read yesterday said that Batman was never going to appear... it's a portrait of the Gotham that spawned him, rather than another retelling of the Batman genesis story.

Which is a fucking dope idea.

Watched the first two of the new Boardwalk Empire last night. Felt like a slightly different pace, but very enjoyable indeed.

The time jump is a bit of a bitch though. I was really looking forward to seeing Rothstein's end and the St Valentine's Day Massacre!

Parks and Rec, Community (as mentioned), Louie is funny sometimes, Rick and Morty, Bob's Burgers, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, New Girl is actually enjoyable a lot of the time imo, Workaholics, Party Down, Silicon Valley... Don't know how many of these you've seen but hopefully it can help :W:

Always Sunny is AMAZING, but the episodes feel so short.

I think watching Always Sunny has sort of ruined comedies for me.. I've watched all the series about 6 times now, same with Black Books. They've set the bar too high. I enjoyed stuff like Community, Workaholics and The League but they really don't come close to Always Sunny imo. Probably my favourite comedy of all time. Louie/Curb are up there as well.

As for Gotham, I'm gunna hopefully start it tonight or tomorrow.. any idea how closely it follows any of the films or the comics or is it literally an untouched area in the story that they're gunna create?

New South Park was shit.

Sunny and Louie would definitely fit in that 'cringey humour' category I think.

Both are definitely in my top 5 favourite series though. Actually, Muncey just listed all of the comedies I would recommend, except for Parks

Everyone always goes on about Archer, but no one ever mentions Firsky Dingo - an earlier show from Adam Reed.

Frisky Dingo is only 4 hours of television, and is the funniest program Adult Swim has to offer.

If you like Archer, give Firsky Dingo a watch. The parallels are endless.

Gotham episode two.
[+] Spoiler
slightly campy main villain for the week, but overall story arcs progressing well. Penguin character development is really engaging, first real look at Selina Kyle. Riddler is fucking awesome as a side character. Also the gang war story arc is starting to ratchet up. Bill Rawls is properly menacing at Falcone.
7/10. Not as outstanding as the pilot but it moves everything along nicely.
