Some people need salt. But you probably should try to cut it back and see how you feel. It can be really bad for your heart and anything else that receives blood, ie your entire body.

It's not necessarily doctor time, and it can be a number of things like it could help in containing water or it could dry water up... but if you live in California or the south of spain and you don't experience dehydration a lot, then it's probably not that harmful.. .and more about just the taste buds.. or the taste of butts
