I own a pair myself and the low fqs are quite hyped. someone on the neurohopforum compared them to krk monitors and he is somehow right, but eventhough the bass frequencies are prominent I found the mids to be very clear. If you're looking for flat headphones dt990s might be a better option but I'm happy with my m50s

logitech 5.1s.... lol
Re: What monitors do you use when producing?
I have a pair of KRK Rokkit 8's for mid and far field, a pair of KRK Rokkit 5's for near field and a lovely big KRK 10s for the sub (which is switched off most of the time when I'm working because frankly the walls can't handle it, mostly only use it for the final mixdown)
